When did you start doing these? And what does Issac think of these creatures?
I made Goo last summer as the first one. I used to make them out of furry material back in the summer of 2008 as well. And Isaac doesn't get to play with these ones, I started making these ones for friends

Aaawwww...........you should make them as little toys for Issac. I'm cracking myself up. THIS coming from someone that has no pets what-so-ever! Oh, unless you would count the teddybear I sleep with. Hehehehe..

Tell me Burr, are these creative designs your friends counterparts? What I mean is, do they match in characteristics? Are they commissioned to match their owners, in other words?

Some of the characteristics are shared but other's are to make sure they have someone who will look after them. Like if a friend needs someone to be comforting and understanding, their "Flump" will have those characteristics. So they have something small to cuddle and know is there. They each come with their own little card with their number, name, flavour and characteristics. They are basically for my creative blog "Haus of Burr"

You might be too young and living waaaay over yonder to know this, but once upon a time there were beanie babies. And not that you would know about what farmers grow in the USA, but my father grew soybeans later in his farming years. Heh. Beanies.

Long story short, my mother gave my children (who also are older than you---yeah, I have to throw in just how old I am----why? I'm not sure! LOL!) jars of soybeans. I kept them. They are from back in '91. After my father passed away in '91, my aunt (my mother's younger sister) made humpty dumpty beanies stuffed from those soybeans. Yep, still have them. They were meant to for my children, then 9 and 10, but I ended up with them.

Why am I telling you this? Well, because I think sometimes these creations are meant to heal or even make one feel good. For some reason, and after reading some on your site, and your "Flumps", maybe that is a way to reach out and make one smile and feel good.

Then again, I might have your whole concept WRONG! If I do, nevermind me! LOL!

Oh no, you have my concept right. These things are supposed to make people feel good and I only make them one of a kind so the people that do end up with them have that special little bit from me. They may have similar designs but they are still different.

I remember beanie babies too. I collected them for a little while.

Regardless, having something small and squishy to cuddle makes people feel good. That's why I love Teddy Bears and making little plushies. I still have the teddy bear my dad first gave me when I was a baby.

My mom made me a teddy bear a few years back. I'm pretty close to it too. I've made a couple of them. One for my mom(guess I had to return the favor) for her new painted sewing room, and the other one I made for my 29 yr old daughter for her bedroom. At the time she was going for pinks and browns.

So, I guess we all have an inner child....no matter how old we all get.
