Default Want to check where to put lower looper thread when threading serger

I just got a Brother 1034D seger and I want to double check where to put the lower looper thread after threading it through the eye of the looper... in the picture, I've got it to the right of the bar that moves the upper looper, but I'm sure that's not right. Should the lower looper thread sit actually on top of the upper looper itself, to the left of the bar that mvoes the upper looper (and therefore under the upper looper thread) or somewhere else. I've watched the video and checked the manual, but this is the only part that is unclear to me still. Thanks in advance!

I think I just put mine to the left of the bar where you have it now. It will work itself out once you start serging anyways.

I just ordered this serger, I should have it on Thursday. Is it intimidating? Sergers always looks so scary!

Thanks everyone! I tried to the left of the bar- which was hard to do though!- but it works great! I just whipped up a dozen wipes while I ate lunch! Yay!

Not at all- but I don't get intimidated, I get excited. I've only just started playing around with it as of yesterday and now all I wish for is that I had more time in the day and more $ for fabric!
And I see you have your weekender in your pic- I am still in love with it and want to try making one so badly!

You should really just do it, you'd be suprised at how simple the construction is

I can't find the pattern locally- but one store about an hour away said they should get one with their next shipment!

These 9 little words just solved all my troubles. Days and days of googling manuals and tutorials and instructions and watching videos, and I come across this little slice of heaven.

A BIG thank you!!!!

I think it could even go on top of the upper looper thread, like I said, once you start serging it will work itself out in the stitches. I'm glad you got it going! I LOVE serging my dipes, it's so much faster.
