I made these the other day and they came out a little weird but I have to say this is a much better way to use an old tshirt than to throw it out or make rags with it ;0)
The directions may look hard but it is actually quite easy!

I made these awhile ago. They came out pretty good but were a little low waisted. Super easy tho!

I know this is a super-old post, but I finally got around to trying the tutorial. Sort of. My daughter got a pretty, trendy dress that is awfully short. I won't let her wear it without some shorts underneath, but all of her shorts are a little bulky to wear under a dress. I picked up a big, huge black t-shirt at the thrift store and followed this tutorial. Except I made them into shorts instead of pants. They aren't good enough for her to wear alone, but they are perfect for under her dress. I added some elastic-lace to the hem to make them a little pretty just in case they show a bit. The dress is long enough that they should never show. Unless she is picking something up off the ground!

I didn't ask her to model them for a photo because it just seemed weird.

She must think they are good because she is asking me to make her a dress! I keep telling her I'm not that good yet!

This looks like a great pattern. Love the way it has instructions for a side panel if the hips and legs are not wide enough.

This is the best tutorial I saw in a long time! You get the basis, and then go different ways to a final product - piping, stripes, other embelishments..:-)

thank you so much for placing it here!
