I went to a huge garage sale today in the parking lot of a baseball stadium. I guess there were about 150 or so families or groups that each had one or two parking spaces to set-up their tables.
One woman had a table covered with sets of Stampin' Up! stamps marked down to a really good price that I would have gladly paid. Then, she marked them 50% off of that price.

Woo hooooo!!
One set called 'Snow Burst' had been $19.95 in the catalog (plus S&H and taxes) and I paid $2.50 for it. Another set that was $29 in the catalog was marked down to $4. I bought 10 sets of stamps from her and a few wheels for the roll-a-graph.
I'll probably put a couple of the sets on ebay. I should be able to make enough $$ to make up for the cost of the rest of them and I'll hopefully come out even.
I asked that woman why she was selling so many of her stamps. She said that her entire basement is used for her rubber stamping. She has so much stuff that it's outgrown that space so she has to sell some of it. Wow. I hope she keeps buying more stuff so that she has to sell more next year when they have sales at the stadium. lol
There were other people there selling rubber stamping and scrapbooking odds & ends too. Some of them had things priced too high, but I got some nice individual stamps for 25 cents and a $7.50 Craft ink pad for $1.00.
The only drawback to this is that after getting such great deals, I have a hard time paying full-price for things at the stores. I see something I like and I think, "I can probably find this at a yard sale or on Craigslist a lot cheaper. Gotta love it!
What are the best deals you've found for stamps & stuff?
