Default Stampin' UP! Scraps

Every time I get a new set of stamps from Stampin' Up!, I feel like there has to be SOMETHING that can be done with the stuff that's left over after you pull out the stamps.

This probably isn't that 'SOMETHING', but here's what I did with a little bit of the excess rubber and foam.

They look kind of goofy, but they make nice background stamps. Since I had to cut them with scissors, the lines on them aren't straight. But they're consistently not straight! lol

I bought the wood blocks at a rubber stamp store.

They work well for mosaics like you used here, but you can also use them for pop up pieces. Sometimes when I'm popping up a large piece or image, I want something a little more thick and substantial than the dimensionals. In that case I use chunks of rubber.

LOL I always thought I was bad about having to use all my scraps! I don't do this though. However, I have saved all my wood mounts from the stamp sets I've started converting to clear mount. Not sure what I'll use them for yet but can't get rid of them either.

I use both the rubber and the foam as "dimensionals" since I tend to go thru those really fast!
