Default Flying parrot

Another photo resurrected from the archives. This parrot goes outside and will flap its wings in a breeze. This was part of a swap on another forum.

My girls have something similar hanging in their room at the cottage. Instead of a parrot, theirs is a heron and there is a string hanging at the bottom that you pull to make the wings flap. I love these!

I have the patterns for these in parrots, eagles, geese, ducks, dragons, angels, pigs and cardinals. In the past I made and sold these. Got the patterns from a lady that I worked for.

I wish I had a heron pattern.

Would it work if I took it down (if I can) and traced it for you? Or is there more to them... Although, you'll have to remind me by the time summer gets here....

I'd need the body, a wing and a photograph of the color scheme.

To be honest, by summer I probably will have forgotten about it too.

I'm pretty sure it is just a boring solid grey-blue without any detail. I'll try really hard to remember to get it for you. Hopefully we've talked about it enough that when I see it, I'll be reminded. I have no idea when we will get there this year if the price of fuel goes up as predicted.

That is really nice Keeo! I also like that the wings move. Cool.

I'm glad this thread was bumped! I'm going to be at the cottage soon, now maybe I will actually remember!

That's really neat. I'd like to see one in person.
