here is a oak jewelry box It is 16" by 8 1/2" by 2 3/4" It is sprayed cabnet grade lacquer The 2 small box can be moved around It is hard to get the right color for the oak But the color is close with the 2 little box's Thanks for looking del

Great job on your jewelry box, I have made several jewelry boxes for family members. I also have run into the same issues of getting to stain to match the wood. The stain in the pictures you posted looks wonderful, you can barely tell the difference!

Beautiful box. Did you hand cut those dovetails or did you use a jig? I have the Leigh D1600 dovetail jig and I love using it. I am still using pine to build boxes and benches. I have not figured out how to buy oak (or any hardwood) at a reasonable price yet.
