Those boxes look nice. The purpleheart is really purple! Hubby made me a pen and I was really disappointed because it was hardly purple at all. I traded it in for a maple (I think) one with a nice grain.

They turned out really nice, Del. I like that purpleheart. I can't always get mine that smooth.
I belt sand with 120 grit than with ros 6" ridgid sander go with 220 grit than 400 grit I know most say 220 is good enough Oh well 400 is real snooth that is what i do to all my box's When i spray my sealer coat and sand And than apply my top coat It is smooth Some wood need's to be sanded a little more Don't hurt a bit I use M.L.Campbell products Which i find work's for me And i get it local That's a plus Thanks for looking
Those look really good, Del. I don't know a thing about wood-working, but that sanding process must take for ever! Anyway, it's worth the work. They're soooo pretty!
