Default Some old wooden trucks sitting around

These are some wooden trucks I have made in the past. The pictures were taken a long time ago with a low tech camera

These are definitely cool. Making some form of wooden toys is on my to do list. A train is the one I thought that I would like to make. I'll have to push it a little closer to the front of the list. Great job on all of them and thanks for posting the photos.

Very nice woodworking, there. Making wood toys is very enjoyable and very satisfying when they are done.

Great pictures, too.

Oh my!!! I love those!! You did a fantastic job!!! I have old wooden toys I purchased for my son. I also purchased two rocking horses for them. I still have them. My mom has the toys and one rocking horse and I have the other rocking horse. My kids are only little over a year apart. Anyway, my mother and I both display them. You just can't beat homemade toys or wooden crafts! And they are over 25 yrs old and still in great shape! Can't beat'm!

Btw, welcome to the forum WoodtoyZ!!!

Those are very nice! Did you let the kids play with them?

Thanks for posting the pics.

Do you put a finish on them?

Thanks for the kind words. I can't call my self a woodworker especially after seeing some of the amazing pieces on this site. Making toys is a way of satisfying my love of trucks and transportation vehicles. Its kind of hard to explain. These particular trucks are a bit to detailed for small children but I am experimenting with more basic models.

Wow! I checked out your website. You have a lot of planes, trains and automobiles to choose from. Very nice work and your prices are super reasonable.

I love all the detail on the dump trucks.

Do you sell at craft shows?

A couple years ago I was looking for something like this, but one that can be taken apart and put back together. My oldest grandson loves figuring out how things work. Do you make anything like that?

Nice work!

Hi Barb-
I stopped doing local craft shows several years ago. I would like to start going again but It is hard to give up a Saturday lately. I do not have a unit that can be taken apart due to safety concerns. That would be an interesting project for a larger scale truck.

Very nice work! My Dad has really gotten into woodworking lately, but he hasn't done anything like this quite yet. Thus far it's been shelves and toyboxes (for his grandkids.) I think he's got wooden puzzles on his list next.

Anyway, nice job!
