Default Spalted Maple Jewelry Box

i have made a Spalted Maple jewelry box Out of 40 yr. old wood I cut the tree's down and let it rot You have to catch the wood in process of this and Plane it down and let it air dry If you dont get at the right time it is rotten and no good It is sprayed with cabnet grade lacquer Thanks for looking Some pic's

It sure came out nice.

I love using spalted woods, but they really mess up my sinuses. glad to see others taking advantage of nature's progress.

Oh I love that Del! I'll have to look at your photo album. I'm amazed at what can be made of different woods and the different processes of each.

Are you from the Woodworking forum? I no longer post there, but I still like to know what they make with different woods. I'm just a "lurker" there now!

i check in to 4 other wood sites router form's woodforms woodworking talk wood web talk oak walnut butter nut cherry Brazilian Cherry rosewood purple heart maple i know i left some out Been doing wood for 40 or more yrs So not new to saw dust Used to cut trees and make board's I have made lot's of item's thanks for looking del
