Default What I like to do

One of the things that I like to do is cut intricate pieces out of red oak and then frame them. Each of the black parts that are in this photo are actual holes that I cut with a scroll saw. I then back the piece of wood with a black board to make the holes stand out. I made the frame in this case from pine and then I shaped and burned it with a torch to make it look like bamboo. I finished this piece about 2 weeks ago, but all of my recent projects are at various stages of finishing and I wanted to post something.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The size of this cutting was 10 1/2" X 15". Add the frame and you are looking at around 12" X 16 1/2"

As far as tigers, I have done 2 of them. But I would think that the price of the cutting plus the shipping, would rule one of these pieces out as a birthday present.

Thanks again for the compliments. They are greatly appreciated.

I just came across your post. All I can say is your work is amazing!
It must take a lot of patients to do such intricate designs.
