Default double chocolate cookies

I'm making these cookies when nap time finally arrives! They're heavenly. I like to add a tsp of cinnamon. It seems kinda weird in a chocolate cookie but it enhances the flavor. Ahh, love these! Might need to double it!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda.
Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in one egg until completely incorporated. Beat in the last egg along with the vanilla. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips; mixing just enough to evenly combine. Drop by heaped teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden, 9 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Mmm they're done!! I have a few more batches to make during the next nap though. I like using half semi sweet chips and have milk chocolate chips! That makes it like "triple chocolate". But I had 2 bags of milk chocolate and like a handful of semi sweet chips so I ended up doing around a bag and 1/4 of the milk and all the semi sweet I had. This was kind of a spontaneous "I think I have everything to make cookies" project so I had to improvise a teeny bit! Doubling the recipe, I was about 1/2 short on flour so I used whole wheat (only makes it a tiny bit healthier anyway, haha) and only had 2 eggs so I used the flax/water goo trick to make up for the other 2 eggs. Can't even tell the difference! Bringing them to a play date tomorrow
