Default Eggsciting! Eggcellent!

Hello, I would like to ask for other ways to cook with egg, aside from the usual fritatas and omelletes. Please share your recipes. Eggs are the favorite of my family. I want to prepare something new and different. Thanks.

Sometimes I'll scramble an egg and put it on toast with mayonnaise.

You can make deviled eggs or potato salad with extra hard boiled eggs.

Egg drop soup with egg rolls.

You can also hard boil a few eggs, then put them through a blender, add salt, pepper, mustard and other spices you might like, and serve as spread on toast.

I make scrambled eggs and mix them with rice and a little soy sauce.

Also, boiled egg and tuna sandwiches.

Or, toad in a hole. Egg fried in the middle of a piece of bread with a hole cut into it.

I cut the skin off of breakfast sausages and fry up the ground pork inside. Then I scramble some eggs. Place the egg, the sausage, a little chopped onion and some old cheddar in a tortilla wrap shell and you have a really nice breakfast wrap. I like mine with chunky salsa!!!

That's a neat name for it. We always called that 'a hole in one'. It's also 'sun shining on the wheat'.

Another food you can make with eggs is the loaves of bread with the egg baked on top of the loaf. Don't know what it's called, but it's usually in bakeries around Easter.

Thanks for all those recipes. Haven't tried the toad in a hole or the hole in one. Sound fun to make! How do fry that? Do you cut a hole in the bread and place it on a frying pan with the egg in the middle? Do you use oil in frying?

I let the butter (not whipped margarine) sit out at room temp until it's soft.

Butter one side of the bread, like you would if you were making a grilled cheese sandwich.

Heat the frying pan a little and drop in the slice of bread butter side down.

Butter the other side of the slice and use a shot glass or something similar in size and press it down into the center of the bread to remove the center.

put a little bit of butter in the center, let it melt and break and egg into the hole.

Let it cook a little while (I poke the whites all the way around so they'll cook more evenly). If the yolk isn't broke, you can give it a poke if you don't want it to be runny when you're eating it.

Then flip everything until it's done to your liking.

This is really easy, but I'm curious if there's a better way to make them.

To make mine little more interesting when are ready to flip I skip that...I sprinkle them with thin chopped ham and cheese and I put it under broiler for little bit.
