Default Herbed, nutty popcorn

We had movie night last night at the comfort of our home. I made buttered popcorn and added nuts, grated Parmesan and some dried basil. It was a hit! Popcorn with corn chips are also great together.

That sounds good. I've tried the parm cheese on popcorn and it was good. I'm not sure I'd like basil on it.

I was in a fudge shop a couple weeks ago and they had small bags of popped corn with chocolate drizzled over it and cashews in the bag. It looked so good, but at $17.99 for less than a pound, I had to pass it up.

Do you use yellow or white popcorn kernels?

This sounds good. I'm also not sure about the basil, but nuts and parmesan cheese sounds great. Or maybe grated romano.

I love popcorn!
Luv2BCrafty, got any other popcorn seasoning ideas? I'm looking for more ideas. Preferably "figure-friendly" ones. Or should I create a new thread to ask this? I don't want to hijack your thread!

My daughter used to sprinkle the powdered cheese from the macaroni & cheese packages on her popcorn.

Now I see that they sell it in a little can in the popcorn aisle.

I used yellow corn kernels. Is there a difference? (Aside from the color?)
You can improvise your own chocolate drizzled pop corn. Toss some nuts into the popcorn. Melt some chocolate and drizzle them onto your nutty popcorn.

Other spices that you can mix and match: paprika, cayenne, chili pepper, curry powder, pesto, thyme, and rosemary.

I quit using yellow popcorn because I hated having so many hulls. The white popcorn doesn't seem to have the same problem.

When I pop corn, sometimes, I add a bunch of white sugar to the oil/butter and it makes kettle corn. Yum!

Default Corn cobs

How about corn on the cob? Should I put it here in this thread or start a new one?

Combine chopped parsley with creamed butter. Spread on warm corn cobs. Sprinkle with salt. Yummy!!!!
