Combine chopped parsley with creamed butter. Spread on warm corn cobs. Sprinkle with salt. Yummy!!!!
MMmmmMM! Corn on the cob is the best. I just use butter, salt and dental floss. I'll have to try the parsley. How much do you put in the butter?

If you want to start a new thread about corn on the cob, I can move it to start a new thread. Then if you want to edit the first post you can. Just let me know.

Default Butter Caramel Popcorn

I tried this recipe for popcorn and I find it too sweet for my liking. I will lessen the sugar when I make it again in another time. I like the taste of butter.

2 Tablespoons melted butter, for brushing
1 packet microwavable popcorn, unsalted or butter-flavored
1 cup toasted peanuts, walnuts or pecans, optional
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon baking soda

Brush wooden spoon and inside of an extra large bowl with melted butter. Set aside.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

Follow package instructions for microwavable popcorn. Transfer popcorn to buttered bowl. Discard burnt or unpopped corn kernels. Mix in nuts, if desired.

In a saucepan, combine sugar, salt, water and butter. Cook without stirring until golden. Watch carefully as syrup tends to burn quickly. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Stir until foamy and bubbly. Immediately pour caramel over popcorn.

Using the buttered wooden spoon, quickly stir until popcorn is coated with caramel. Spread popcorn evenly on line cookie sheet and allow to set. When cool, break into smaller pieces. Store in an airtight container or serve in paper cups or cones.
