Dh will compare prices but with definitely come home with a ton of snacks too. Here he is saying we only have this much left for the week and he's just spent most of it on snacks

I absolutely hate sending Hubby because he doesn't compare prices and he doesn't get store brands. He also tends to be impulsive. I'll ask him to get milk and he'll come home with milk, ice cream, chips.... you get the idea.[/QUOTE]

I go once per week - every Tuesday morning. I make a menu before going and only buy what I need for that, or any good sales on things we actually use. We will run to the two stores that my small town has some weeks, depending on sales, but we walk, so we only have to factor in our time, not gas to get there! We do end up running up to the store occasionally throughout the week, but usually because we've ran out, or changed the menu. Our grocery bill dropped drastically when I started making a menu. I don't know how I would shop now if I didn't make a menu!
