Default No-Bake Oatmeal Drops

I love making No-Bake goodies!

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats

1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, and butter. Bring to a boil then remove from the heat.
2. Add the remaining ingredients; mix well.
3. Drop by heaping tablespoons on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Let cookies firm up for a few minutes before serving.

Yum yum yum!
I've made something similar with cocoa and no peanut butter.
The kids are whining that there is "nothing to eat" here, maybe I'll make some of these...
Thanks!

The cookies are a hit! Out of 8 of us, 6 like them. The other two are holding out for chocolate chip cookies. lol

Thanks for the recipe!

I made a half-batch of these yesterday. My oldest wasn't fond of them, but she doesn't like nuts so that doesn't surprise me. My youngest and I really liked them. I ate too many... it's a good thing it wasn't a full batch! They were gone last night.
Thanks for posting the recipe!

I had one cookie of the batch that my wife made and they were very good. I'm trying to watch my boyish figure so I only had one. Thanks for posting the recipe. I'm sure that they will be made again.

I made a full batch and all but 5 of them were gone by midnight. When I make chocolate chip cookies, there are always some left the next day.

So, we'll have to give this recipe 5 stars. But 5 of the little blue-faced guys will have to do...

You could add chocolate chips to it and even possibly use flour instead of oats....and call it chocolate-chip cookies! LOL...
I have yet to make these..I have all the ingredients, maybe I'll try it. I'll skip nuts since hubby won't eat them...I will add chocolate chips and maybe even venture into a few with just flour and see how they come out..

I am glad you like the recipe. It's so easy to do!

I haven't tried substituting with flour. How was it?
