Hey! I never got invited to any rice campaign!!!!

We're having fried rice tonight. A little soy sauce, a little onion, a little celery, a little grated carrot a touch of worcestershire sauce.... umm... what else do I put in it? Garlic. Sometimes a scrambled egg. Maybe a can of corn tossed in.....

Sometimes I make cheesy rice- mix hot rice with grated chedder cheese- YUM. Also make a baked rice dish- use broth for the rice liquid throw in some basil and garlic, cook it like usual, for about 1/2 the time needed- then put the rice/liquid in a baking pan (I usually make enough for a 9 by 13- 2 cups of uncooked rice). I put cut of chicken breast over the top, layer on 1 can of drained artichoke hearts, and cover with foil. Bake until done (30-45 minutes) sprinkle with parmasean or romano cheese and bake a until cheese melts a little bit. YUM.

well that just sounds delicious!

I made a rice dish last night -for my dogs Im still giving them the iams dry during the day but since their canned wet food six packs has gone up from $5.50 to $7.50 in one week (this blows my mind) its actually cheaper for me to start making it myself..again with the dry food to make sure they get proper nutrients.

wow, how off topic is that?

to go with chicken, I add good amount of dill, some sage garlic powder, salt, and butter to the boiling water before I add the rice... let those simmer for a couple of minutes and then add the rice, cover and steam... it adds a nice subtle flavor.

I like fried rice - like in Chinese food. And I like beans and rice.
