Default What kind of stove do you have?

We have an electric stove with the flat cooktop. It came with the house. There are some perks to the flat cooktop, I will admit (easy to clean, gives me extra counter space when it's cool) but I'd love to have a gas stove. I miss cooking on one! That's what my grandmother still has, and what my parents had until a few years ago. I probably wouldn't do it now, lol, but I can remember roasting hot dogs over the burner at my grandparents house LOL!!

However, my dh is very paranoid about gas appliances, so I will probably never have one!

I was just curious what everyone else cooks on, and what your preferences are!!

I have a stove with flat cook top as well. In the past I have had both electric and gas its a real pain when switching as to getting use to the type your cooking with an burning things until you get use to it again. I prefer electric. However gas does have its advantages.

I have a gas stove. I've had both and this is the easiest for me. But I sure would LOVE to have the glass top on it since they're so much easier to keep clean and they look so nice.

I also like the idea of being able to cook with gas if our electric goes out. Although, the burners need electricity to light, which makes no sense to me at all. But it can still be lit if you hold a match over it when you turn the knob.

Either way, we're lucky to have modern ovens/stoves. Imagine trying to bake bread or a cake the way the pilgrims did!

glass top, which is fine. I just hate it that when water drips over the edge of the pot it gets all burned on and gross.
