Hello from a brand spanking new crafter!
Hello! I am really interested in creating things and that's what crafting is all about, right? Thank goodness, I found the right place!
Well, I'm terribly inexperienced and I'm looking forward to learning some great things. I currently have a project in mind but sadly, I don't even know where to begin searching for the right supplies...
I know that I would like to work with glass tiles - attaching them to a space about 5 square feet. If anyone has any pointers please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Hi! Welcome to the forum
I don't know anything about glass, but hopefully someone here can help you out. Have you tried to Google about how to do this? I use Google quite often when I am trying to figure out how to do something. Just in case
I look forward to seeing what you do!

Hey! Thanks for the welcoming!
Yeah, I've been surfing around but, haven't turned up anything all the direct for installation. There's so many products, it's hard to know what will work.
I would like to use the glass tiles to seal an image on already-tiled piece of wood. I'm concerned about glue marks and all other imaginable mishaps.
But, I will continue my search!

Yay you want to work with glass? Ok so you can make tiles a few ways. You can do mosaics or stained glass (I haven't worked with these so im not sure what the difference is) or you can make fused tiles. I do glass fusing so if your interested in that and have questions I will try to help.
http://www.delphiglass.com is where I have bought most of my supplies and its a nice place to start.

Hi and welcome to the asylum.
Please elucidate? Do you already have the image on the wood? Any photos we might see?

Welcome to the forum litl.pineapple! It's nice that you could join us.
I see glass tile of different sizes for sale on Craigslist occasionally.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your future projects.

Wow! Firstly, thanks everyone for all the support.
Well, I don't have any pictures yet but, as soon as I make progress I will.
I added some spare linoleum tiles to the top of an Ikea coffee table. I would like to preserve a special paper to the table and be able to still use it in my living room. I was thinking about using the glass tiles to finish it off.

"special paper"? like kid's photos? If this is the case, then your solution is simple.
measure the table, go to a glass store and have them cut you a piece of 1/4" glass to set on top. Ask them to round or bevel the edges. Glass tiles will not be an easy way to do what you want, and still see through them.

Some photos, some ticket stubs, just some keepsake stuff... I guess I'm going for the "messy floor aesthetic" but, just on top of the table. Hehe.
How would I seal the glass to the table? I'm afraid to leave it just sitting - I don't want the photos to move or the glass to move and cause injury.
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
For all the help.
Obviously, I need it terribly.

What materials is the table made from?
Can you post a picture of it?
The glass would be pretty heavy, but you could add "Glue Dots" to the four corners to keep it from shifting?
Perhaps rubber stick-on "dots/feet"?
1/2" glass would be even heavier, (and prettier) but it'd cost more $$$ of course.
