Talking

Well, to admit it.. it's a quite cheap pressed Ikea table.

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00095036

I don't have any pictures of my actual project yet but, hopefully by the end of the week(my camera is on loan). I'm trying out the idea with just spare items and seeing if it can evolve into something more.

I'm going to have to start looking around for a local glass place or would you recommend buying via the internet? Oh and! What kind of adhesive should I use to smoothly stick the keepsakes to the tile?

so... you plan on putting tiles on it in a mosaic or pattern of some sort, then grouting it, of course, right? then all you'd need do is set the pictures on some tiny glue dots and they'd stay put just fine. if you use the same tiny glue dots in the four corners to keep the glass in place, no need to put anything down to hold the photos, tickets, etc. glass and gravity will do that. just lower glass slowly to avoid movement from air flowing out from under it.

Oh I couldn't thank you enough!
The beginning of this week is kind of hectic, no time for crafting. Hopefully I can start up soon, at least buying supplies. And will post photos with progress.

another thought.... Envortex lite is an awesome super shiny, glass like sealant.... If the tiles dont work (I love glass too!) you could always seal your memorabelia in that way.

http://www.michaels.com/art/online/d...ductNum=gc0511 they have it at michaels, Joanns, and AC Moore. I use it to make my wood projects, that include scrapbook paper, very shiny and glass like. Its a bit messy but AWESOME!
