August Photo Challenge
Ok gang, We had a little interest in this idea
This is a forum wide challenge. This is just a casual challenge I threw together, no prizes, winners, etc per say (although that might be cool in time LOL) We'll have a monthly photography challenge based around a theme. I'll start with the theme and then randomnly choose someone who submitted a pic in August to choose the theme for September.
Soooo without further adieu here is how it goes:
Submit your photos in this thread and feel free to share links to any other photos you might have on flickr, photobucket, etc that we might wanna look at
If you'd like, please also list:
Location of photo
Date of photo
Type of Camera
Any special lenses, lights, etc.
August's Theme is Summer Fun.
Interpret this theme how you see fit!
YOU MAY SUBMIT up to FIVE Photos.
Have fun!!!
All photos must be submitted by August 31st.
~~Amy

I don't submit photos using a URL. Why can't I post a photo the way I always do?

I always use the "post reply" button at the top of the thread. (I have mine set up so that the newer posts are at the top of the screen) I think the quick reply has an option to use "advanced" or something like that. There is a paperclip icon there, kinda above and to the left of the "insert image" icon. It says "attachments". Click that and a new window will open. You can upload directly from your computer using this. I always have to make my pictures smaller, but it is fairly easy. I think you can upload five in one shot.
I know this is quite vague, but I am terrible at explaining things without pointing and miming! I hope I've given you enough information that you understand it though! If not, let me know and I'll try again.

I like this challenge. I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for something interesting.
I didn't know that you could upload into a thread. Do the photos get stored here or are they just a one-time shot?

Yeah, that's what I've always done, too. I'm not very techno minded... I think I have a Photo Bucket account, but I can't figure it out...

I think they are only on the thread.

At least you have an account somewhere! I don't have (or want) anything like that. That is why I got concerned when Amy said the URL thing! I was afraid that I couldn't participate.

I wouldn't call you a "dumb dumb" at all! Quick reply is often all you need!!!
Now I have a question. Does the photo have to be taken specifically for this theme, or if we have a previously taken shot that is perfect can we use that as long as we are the ones who took it?
