Birds have always symbolized freedom for me. I think because they are not limited to the ground like us poor humans. They can roam the sky. Anyway, here are a couple pics of some wild doves that wanted to come visit my doves. Then a picture of them in the tree across the street, because, after all, they are free.

I'll be honest, I PICKED the theme and I still forgot!! To say this has been a Loooooooooooooooong summer is an understatement. I love my monkeys but MY WORD mama needs her peace and quiet! School starts Aug 8th so I hope to regain some me time then to keep up with everything!!!

Congratulations Rasha!!! You must be thrilled to be back out on your own. Ugh! It's so hard living with someone. Why is it that we live with our parents for 18+ years and it seems perfectly natural, but moving back in is so difficult?

It was hard especially having animal pics...but that last shot of hers with the cloudy skies and the birds, did it for me. I could almost imagine the birds saying, "rain? We ain't skerred a no stinkin rain!!"

Thanks! I almost didn't put that picture in, but it turned out so good with the birds sitting on the dead branch with the clouds behind... I would love to be able to figure out how to make that picture into a jigsaw puzzle (minimum of 500 pieces of course). Unfortunately, it is too expensive to have done. Oh well.

I'll have to think on the next theme. I have a couple in mind, I just need to see which one would be more feasible (or maybe use both).

Thanks Barb! Yes, it's wonderful having our place again.

As soon as my husband landed a job, any job, we got our own place. The only reason we stayed with my parents is he was job hunting all over and even though I continued to work full-time through it all (I telecommute) it just didn't make sense to sign a lease until we knew where he needed to be for his work.

You're right, moving back is difficult, especially when your parents don't want you there.

But they understood we needed to physically be in the area so my husband could easily interview for jobs on the east coast.

But it's been good overall. Things are progressing so it's been worth the move.
