Default Weeks 36 and 37

Pinokeeo, did you ever get the dragonfly picture?

Here is my photo for week 36.

I can't decide if I like this picture. But I like the idea.
It was pouring rain and the rain was splashing on the windowsill outside. I took about twenty photos trying to get a nifty one that showed the splash. There are two in this picture. I just wish I was able to focus on the splash better....

These are week 37's offerings.
Ginny is so funny when she first wakes up.
She comes out of her little house (inherited from my daughter's former gerbil, named Salty) very slowly and squinting a lot. She usually perks up once given a pumpkin seed!

My cat is sooooooo cute!

Nice photos. I can actually see the splash on the windowsill.

That dragonfly has been taunting me. This is as close as I could get to it.

Default Week 38

I took four pictures this week.

My parents tricked me into picking up my own Christmas gift when I was about 19. They knew I liked these little elephants so they sent me to the One of a Kind craft show to buy one "for a co-worker" of my Dad's. I totally believed them, and bought this adorable elephant for her. Imagine my surprise when I opened it on Christmas! I was playing with my lightbox and used this is a subject.
Project 365/52/12 - share pics here!-week-38-1.jpg

I like the way that this one turned out wayyyyyy better than the photo from two weeks ago.
Project 365/52/12 - share pics here!-week-38-2.jpg

The sun was setting behind us as we drove to the cottage. Since I couldn't turn around to take a picture, I tried to capture it's reflection in the mirror and on the truck.
Project 365/52/12 - share pics here!-week-38-3.jpg

While we were exploring areas near the cottage, I found some stairs so my youngest and I went down them to see where they led.
I now call them "the stairs to nowhere" because this is where they led.
Kind of creepy...

Default Week 39

My photos aren't too exciting this week.
My daughter's gerbil has been busy. I think she is trying to tell us that she wants her own house instead of a hand-me-down. Taken with my phone because I sent it to kenbo.
Project 365/52/12 - share pics here!-week-39-1.jpg

We were at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and they have this nifty, HUGE woodpecker sculpture. I took this with my cell phone, that is why it isn't that great.

My daughter and I wanted apple pie. It was a team effort. She made the filling, I made the crust. We make a good team, it was delicious.

That pie looks delicious! And I love the silhouette of the woodpecker. Nice photos, even if they are with a phone.

Default Week 40

The pie was delicious! The two of us ate the whole thing!
Here are my week 40 photos.

When I talked about the lightbox that kenbo and I made, Ken suggested that I try taking a new picture of my lily of the valley using it. I finally did! I was experimenting around with different backgrounds. I like this dark blue the best, but I tried it with white, black, red and light blue as well.

I'm going to post these in the project showcase as well. They are my Harry Potter 'snitch' earrings. The snitch is a golden ball with wings that flies around in a wizard game and in order to end (and often win) the game someone must catch this. The kids asked me to make them.

Nice pics Angela! I love how you can change the background color like that. The earrings are very cute!

Default Week 41

I completely forgot to take a photo specifically for my Project 52. Oops! However, since this project is supposed to be sort of a 'diary' of my year (as well as a project to get me taking better photos) I feel that this photo fits in perfectly.
My cat is not really a lap-sitter. She'll meow at me to pet her or feed her, she snuggles up with me some nights to sleep and will often rub up against my legs, but she rarely hops up on a lap. While I was working on my sock cat for the vintage challenge, she did just that! I was very surprised. But then she started to "help" me and I realized that she wasn't there to be with me, she was there to play. She is definitely not a good helper!

Project 365/52/12 - share pics here!-week-41-2.jpg

That is all I have for this week.
