I know, I know, and now it's almost April! I'm SO behind. But I got a hilarious picture of my littlest one at the store the other day that i just HAVE to share, so now I really need to get caught up with the loading and posting. I'm going to see what I can get done tomorrow...today....Tuesday...whatever!!!
Cool turtle! Any new pics? My oldest wants a frog, lol. We had salamander for a while, but had to release it back into the wild (we caught it on our back porch, torturing the dog, lol) And I love the yellow on your spring pic -- just beautiful!

My camera doesn't like taking pictures of the aquarium but Hubby got a FANTASTIC picture of Popcorn. (I'm getting a new camera as a late birthday present! I can't wait. Two more weeks!) My daughter got a second turtle a few days after her birthday, but I don't know if Hubby has gotten a good one of him yet. The new one is much more social than Popcorn, I called him "brave" and since my daughter had recently finished a 'Lord of the Rings' marathon, she named the second turtle Samwise the Brave. But we all call him Sam. If I can rob the photo(s?) from Hubby's hard drive, I'll post them in the 'pets' thread.
Thanks. I really like how my flower picture turned out.

I got my new camera!!!!!!!! They came in earlier than I was originally told! Before you go thinking I got some fancy professional thing, it is a tiny Canon. It looks like this one:

This is one like my old one:

So far I love it! So much tinier than my old dinosaur of a camera. and it takes nicer picures too. I took some pictures of the turtles last night, but I haven't put the software (I think that is the right word) on my computer yet so the pictures are still on my camera. I'll get there today or tomorrow. I wonder if I can make a nice case for it......

I'm so slow with my crafts and creations that really it's a 12 month thing for me. I don't have images of everything yet though, doing it tomorrow but:
January: "Dino Spikes/Monster Crown"
February: I made some bows as prototypes but I will be using them anyway, the Hamster pouch and "BurrBerry" phone cover (busy month really ha)
March: the "Flumps"
Don't know what I will do this month but no doubt it will be something. Maybe some "novelty" pillow cases, but I will get some images up and share them. You can already see the "flumps" if you click on the Haus of Burr.

I have a Canon SD400 that I've had for a few years and I love it. You will find many advantages of having a small camera. And in my opinion, Canon is hard to beat.

Katy, your pictures are great! Even though you say you didn't take it, that family photo is fantastic!
I got a frame for my birthday that says across it "My family is wierder than your family" so I'll be taking a family photo soon. We don't have ONE! But because of the caption, ours has to be a goofy picture. I may try for a nice one while we are at it.
Did you blog about those pizza bites???? I looked a little but didn't see them. I did see about the puppy in January. What did you end up doing with it?

I love the saying on that frame!! Thanks for the compliment on the family photo -- I really like it.
No, I haven't blogged about the pizza bites. I actually have several recipes that I've made, taken pictures of, but haven't had a chance to blog about them!! I'm trying to get some posts typed up and scheduled to auto-post over the next few weeks...it's on that to-do list I threw out the window, lol.
We found a home for the puppy the next day. It's someone that my dh works with -- they say he's the most awesome dog ever!! They have two kids that are older than ours, and no baby on the way, so it was a good fit.

Katy, are those pizza bites filled with pizza-y goodness, or coated with something? I want to try them! The photo you have looks delicious! Did you find them online? Maybe you could send me a link, if you did. I don't want to ask you to type out the recipe because I know that you have other things to do right now!
Back on thread topic, here is my week 14 photo. Turtle number two. My camera came in earlier that I expected so I got this amazing (in my opinion) photo myself. No robbing from hubby!

Weeks 15 and 16
Week 15. I loved the irony of that cat in the bathtub, giving herself a bath. Not the best quality picture in the world, but I thought it was funny.

Week 16. My sock monkies having fun monkeying around in a tree.....

I have a problem with seam allowances when trying to sew without any sort of pre-made pattern. Usually I don't leave enough of a seam allowance. This time I overcompensated and instead of making a catnip mouse, I wound up with a catnip rat. The cat seems to like it though. She was napping on my daughter's bed and I stuck the "rat" between her paws. To my amazement she stayed like that, so I snapped a photo.
