Talking Self Portrait in My Studio

I took this for the bio page of my website which will be sarahashleyphotos.com but I have not set it up yet. Thoughts?

I am also hoping since I am getting more photography clients that I can use some of that money to buy more glass and get back into fusing though I think I will just do that for fun and not try to sell my glass things anymore. I don't know we will see how that goes but for now its all about photography.

Love the photo! I'm also impressed with your space and set up. Have your clients often complimented you on your studio?

Thank you. So far I have mostly done events where my studio (lighting and backgrounds) went to their event location and I have not had them stop by my studio. Tomorrow will be the first paying client to do so (I have had models come for free to help me with college photo assignments). Today has been a busy cleaning day because of that.

I like the photo. I also like the camera you're holding in your hand. That's a nice added touch.

If I were looking for a photographer and came across your website, this picture would tell me that you are a true professional. Not only because your studio looks awesome, but also because the equipment you're using looks nicer than what I've seen in other photography studios, which tells me you're up-to-date on things.

I think you will do well with whichever business you pursue - photography or glass. You have a lot of talent!

Thanks barb. I have always considered glass to be just a hobby and photography my job (especially since I have been doing and selling photography a lot longer than I have been working with glass). I am not sure I will always be up to date on things because photo equipment is very expensive but I do have nice & reliable equipment that gets the job done. I just started advertising my photography business to get more clients (I have already had one for years that is a yearly client for a high school prom) and it has been tough but I have enough people interested and have booked a few clients recently. Sadly I think it is mainly a money issue. People just want something good for nothing. Glass I have quit trying to sell but someone in my pottery class wants to try to sell it for me to her mom who does beading and to people that she works with.

Great plan! Networking is really the way to make it work.

Hey Sarah! I also love the photo and a great touch with the vintage camera. I've admired your photography for some time now. You are very good!
