Default Sunset pictures

We went up north to Elk Rapids, MI yesterday afternoon to spend the night. In the evening a bunch of us walked over to the beach on Lake Michigan. I think we were looking out onto Grand Traverse Bay.

Anyhoo, I snapped a couple pictures of the sunset that turned out kind of pretty. Well, I actually took about 20 or 30 pics, but these are my favorite.

The funny thing about the picture above, is that when we were looking at the clouds without the camera, they didn't appear to have that hole. But with the camera, it showed up.

The next picture is one I took when I was just goofing around with the camera. We were sitting around the campfire and I turned on the flash and took a picture of the sky and trees directly above our heads.

I'd like to see your best outdoor pictures of sunsets, mountains, etc. It can be from any time during the year.

Here's a sunset not long ago, shot right out my back door.

And a recent sunrise. This was spectacular. I was standing in my front yard. I had several people in the area calling me about this. We were all outside at the same time.

And I love your water shots, Barb. And the leaves are very interesting photography. That's something I would probably frame and hang on my wall.

Sunset a couple of evenings ago taken from Herring Bay on Ruxton Island looking north west toward DeCourcey Island. It was the unusual cloud formation which attracted my attention.

Those are all beautiful. I think my favorite is the April 16th photo.

Cocobolo, I believe you captured a shot of the Lach Ness monster in the picture in post #7! lol

Do you ever see the Northern Lights in B.C.?
