Default labels

I have been toying with the idea of putting labels on my crochet items that I put up for sale in my etsy store. I have no idea where to look online for something like that and I imagine that custom fabric labels are very expensive.... anyone do anything like this that can offer any insight?

I'd need something colorsafe since some of the crochet items would need to be able to be laundered at one point or another. That's what kept me from just creating something on the PC and printing it out on the canvas/special "paper" as seen in craft stores...

help!?!

You can google custom labels and you'll be surprised at how many links will pop up. You can also get them through some catalogs like Herschner;s and Mary Maxim etc..

I was looking at this too and saw some cool tutorials that use twill tape. I'm going to try it for mine. From what I saw, you tape the twill to a piece of cardstock, run it through the printer, add a little heat to set it, and you're good to go. I'll let you know how they turn out!

Default Labels

I encountered a similar situation where I wanted to add sizing labels to my crochet items. It worked for me to use an indelible pen to write the sizes on iron-on tape. I then sewed matching embroidery thread over the written sizes and sewed the label to the inside of my crochet item. It turned out really neat.

I ONLY use www.jennifersjewels.etsy.com The method to make your own doesnt work great on items you wash a lot (which Im not sure you wash crochet items a lot?) Jennifers stuff is awesome and her prices are pretty good.

I found this:

I also wanted some. My mom has some always stitched inside the pocketbooks she made me. And she does them on quilts----sometimes with a rhyme/poem.
