Looks amazing... I wanted to try something like that a while ago but couldn't figure out the yarn off/on, color changes...

If you get it done by the 30th it would be an awesome entry into the "back to school challenge !

I hadn't thought about the back to school challenge. I might be able to finish by the end of the month - I know my sister wants me to have it done. Her son is already playing football (although it is still too hot to need to cover up in the blanket!).

The thing with the color changes - the stitch before you need the new color is where you do the change. You start the stitch normally (I'm doing half doubles) and instead of using color A to finish the stitch, you use color B. It makes the color changes much smoother.

Good job! Don't be like me and start one three years ago and just now finish it! It's the granny squares in my avatar.

Still working on it - I have 29 more rows of the logo to go. Then I'll do several rows of the solid blue to finish it off. I'm hoping to have it done within the next couple of weeks. I wanted to have it done by the end of September, but that is just not gonna happen! I'll have several hours to work on it this weekend though. I'll put pictures up again when I get to the 3/4 mark.

Not much of a sports fan, but I can surely appreciate the time and talent you put in to this project. VERY nice work! Kind of reminds me of my bird and beast pillowcases I embroidered... over a few YEARS time... Sometimes I just had to pack it up and wait until I could stand doing more.

Well, it is time for another update. I have passed the 2/3rds mark and I'm only 2 rows away from the 3/4 mark. It takes me about 15 minutes to crochet one row - then 30 minutes to pull the yarn through for the next row. I'll be very glad when I'm done with the design.

It's coming along nicely! Did you say? Is it single or double crochet rows?

Impressive.
Is it going to be hard to give it away?
