Default What are you working on?

There hasn't been too much activity on this thread. Tell us what you've been working on.
I'm complteing a tier drop afghan croehted in 3 colors, navy, sky blue and off white. It's coming out very nice. I wasn't sure if I had enough yarn to make a big afghan, so I made it a little smaller than I usually do. The striping pattern was navy, cream, navy, blue, navy etc. I have plenty of yarn left over and although I don't usually do a borders on this pattern I am crocheting a navy border to increase the size a little. This is for my volunteer ladies charity group. all the proceeds from the sales of all our crafts go to charities.

I just completed a baby cocoon wrap and cap. It's for a swap on another site. I've never actually seen this before but it seems that a lot of young mothers use then nowadays. It came out klind of cute. I forgot how tiny newborn babies are.
Now I'm working on a crocheted cable purse. I had found this pattern some while ago. I made some adjustments to it. I'm not sure if I will line it or not, but I guess I should. I think I will get some round circle handles to attach to the bag. I once saw an article somewhere that the writer said she got some plastic tubing at Home Depot that she used for handles. I don't know how she closed it up to create the circles. I guess when I go to Home Depot I will question them as to how this can be accomplished. I think she also filled the tubes with beads or something similar to create some color. I have to check this out. This will be a much cheaper alternative to buying ready mad handles.

I'm busy right now, just finished up two custom pillowcase dresses, and I WILL, I repeat WILL finish the custom twirl dress to complete that order TONIGHT (I only have the topstitching left, but those twirly dresses have so many layers and ruffles!)

I have another order for a twirl dress, sewing straps for a mama who makes baby carriers, make an outfit for DD's 1st b-day and 10 reuseable snack bags as favors for DD's party on my must do list.

On my I-would-love-to-do-if-I-ever-have-the-time list, I would like to make curtains for the recently painted family room and for the dining room, make a mei tai baby carrier, and make adorable little soft-soled baby shoes now that it's nice outside and daddy wants her to walk in the grass.

Between all this and getting the house ready for the party in 3 weeks, I don't think I'm going to sleep at all this month

I'm working on a multi-colored (sort of jelly bean shades) crochet snugglie blanket for a baby shower gift. The shower is Monday next week so I need to get to steppin'! LOL It's 3/4 done and all I need to do is finish another 2-3 inches and then put a decorative border around it. I just need to stop procrastinating!

I've also got a few t-shirts I'm working on adding tulle to. Hoping to get them done over the weekend. No good reason why I've been neglecting those either- other than helping with homework, doing my own lesson plans, and dinner, dishes and SLEEP

After that massive rug, I'm not working on anything at all. I'm giving my shoulders a rest.

But I have plans for some fabric crocheted coasters, a crocheted bowl (if I can get it stiff enough), and another rug, just not as big as the last one.

I've seen those beer can hats. I wonder how comfortable they are to wear. I don't drink beer but I could use soda cans if I was to make one of these hats. I might even attempt to make a tote bag from the cans also. What do you use to punch holes in the cans?
Right now I'm in the middle of a plastic canvas tissue box cover I'm making for my charity group, and I also just finished up some cute Dotee dolls for a swap on Craftser. Now I will be starting an amigurumi for a swap there also. I'm also going to make a ------------- for Swap #2 on Craft Forum. Naturally I can't say what I'm making for this swap 'cause it's a surprise. I usually have lots of WIPs all around the house.
