Yes, and he's always cutting himself on something. Bleeds all over his projects.
But he does some fascinating things without power.
I've tried duplicating some of his projects, but I'm much better with a bandsaw than I am with an axe.
I have learned to split wood with a froe, and I actually tried using an adze to make a chair. That turned out to be a big joke around here, but the show gave me incentive to keep trying to do things on a shaving horse. I've gotten quite good with a drawknife and a spokeshave, which is what I use for making my walking sticks.
I wish there were other shows like that on the web.
