I usually don't do a variety of crafts but this weekend I'm going to a masquerade event so I got to play, *happy dance*. I popped into Michaels and spent more then I should have for supplies, but worth every penny! I think my favorite purchase was a 24 pack of Martha Stewart glitter, it was more expensive then other glitter but the shades that she has are fabulous!!!!
So without further ado, here is my masquerade mask process and was it ever simple! I purchased a plain white plastic mask and punched holes on either side for ribbon. Mixed some glitter with elmers type glue, so no matter what my background had a pink tone, then I poured tons more glitter on top. Applied some rhinestones around the eyes, a pendant on the forehead and drew doodles with my glue and then poured a variety of colored sparkles over top, waiting for the glue to dry between colors. After that I mixed a bunch of different feathers together and taped them to a stick then stapled that onto the mask, the staples are fairly well hidden amongst all the glitter ;0). After all was said and done, a few colored ribbons and it's good to go!
