I've been busy making scarves today! We gotta stay warm during the wonderful winter days! Here's what I've done today:

Sewing the 2 pieces of fleece together.

Cutting the scarves 'fringe'.

4 of the 10 finished scarves! I mixed all the colors together so none of the 10 scarves are the same.

Hope everyone is enjoying their winter crafting! Blessings to all!

Well, I'm not getting much done on my list. I got halfway through cleaning my shop and got a toy order, so after I finish this, I'll be back to my list.

BTW, those scarves look warm. And easy to make.

They were super easy to make! I got 10 of them done in a matter of about 3 hours today. Thanks goes to my sister, who gave me the idea for making them!

alrighty. My entry for this month... socks (adult sized )

These are made from Handmaiden's Casbah sock which is an 81% superwash merino, 9% cashmere -- yum!, 10% nylon blend in colorway midnight. The pattern is Firestarter from Yarnissima(Rav link). My Rav project page.

here's the progress pic modeled on my hand... you can see the color variegation really well in this one:

and here's the FO (there really are two socks... I just can't find my other blocker so they're going one at a time):

Oooo. I love the pattern in those socks. And they look so warm. Nice work.

Cute Tweety pillows and scarfs Becca! Quick and easy. Right up my alley!

Love the socks Amie. I also love the pattern girl.

I'm sure it does GG. What are you making with embroidery on it? Remember you need to post a couple of pics of you making it.

EDIT: GG, do you mean from a sewing machine? I'm not sure. Are you putting it on something you made? I don't know. Guess we need to ask Rasha.

I found directions to make a crochet poncho. I had some crochet squares started some time back and made some more. I went to YT and followed a tutorial on how to make pom poms (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a03BT...feature=fvwrel ) and then Gloria (CForum member) had posted a pattern for fringe. I followed the pattern to put the squares together and then added fringe and pom poms.

Here are some pics:

I think it depends on what you are embroidering. Like, if you are embellishing a scarf, I would think it would count. But if you are embroidering something non-wintery to go on... say an apron (also non-wintery), I don't think that would count for this particular theme. There is a new contest with a new theme every month. They are pretty easy-going here. If you can 'justify' how your item fits the theme, they are usually good with it. Rasha runs this contest and whatever she tells you is official.
Did you have something in mind? If you are unsure and you post your idea, she will definitely tell you if it counts.

Tracy your poncho looks great. and toasty too!
