DangerMouse had suggested something. Make the blankie more like a really big cape and hand stitch it to the back of the animal. No cutting... so stuffed animal carnage .

The patterns are all open to interpretation and whatever your take on it is, is perfect! I'd still love to see pics of the end results and you'll still be entered into the contest

It should be pretty simple to hand stitch... and if you just wanted to make a teddy cape instead of cutting up teddy then it should be even easier

Super cute idea! DS totally went nuts for some super soft fleece at Joann's the other day. Maybe I'll have to go back and get some and make him a lovely=)

OMG adorable! I have seen these in stores, and handmade but never bothered to figure out HOW. Awesome! I hope I will have time to do this this month...not looking great..but I can't wait to see everyones!

Mine are done and the babes LOVE them! Alas, I can't find the CD that came with the camera that has the uploading utility on it. But I'll post as soon as I find it!

Okay, got the pics off of the camera

The one on the right is for DS and the one on the left is for DD. They now live in the truck. I decided to add the feet to both of them. Not sure which I like better, the feet centered at the bottom or separated at the bottom. Anyway, here they are: (Oh, I used the ultra cuddle fleece and minkee-type fabric. SUPER soft!)
