March Craft of the Month Contest - GREEN Theme - Win $50 Amazon

This month's theme: The color GREEN

Between St. Patrick's Day, spring starting to return, and an urge to get some time outdoors (even where it's not warm yet) green is the color of March!

ANY craft that uses the color green in some way (even as an accent color) counts!

How to Enter:
You will need at least 2 photos.
1- A photo of the item in progress. (We love photos of you making it!)
2- A photo of the finished craft
Then give a little explanation of how you made it.

Entries Go in This Thread
Feel free to comment on other projects and have fun in this thread, but only posts with photos and explanations will be considered valid entries.

Up to 3 Entries Per Person
We will allow up to 3 valid entries per person, but each must be a completely different craft project.

How is a winner picked?
At the end of each month we will use Random.org to pick winner. The winner will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card.

Good Luck!

What is the Craft of the Month Contest?
Each month we are going to pick a theme or topic and everyone can create a craft based on that theme. You're free to create whatever you like using any type of crafting method but it must be something you create and it must be inspired by our theme of the month. This month's theme: The color GREEN

Hey, I like this theme. I'll see if I can come up with something.

Well, if I had finished my pink/blue afghan, I would be able to start my green/brown afghan for this month's contest. Boy, am I slow right now! I'll be lucky if I finish the pink/blue afghan in time to use it next winter!

Slow and steady :) you are creating a master piece- it can't be rushed.

Going to have to think on this one, as we don't use green to often around here... might have an Easter gift project for the kids that might fit the theme.

I forgot about this contest. Would my bird house be acceptable? It is green. I just posted some pictures in wood crafting under My Bird House.

This Looks Fun!!!

I've never done anything like this I'm excited to get started. :D And it just so happens that green's my favorite color! I can't wait to get home!

It's fun and infectious ( in a good way)once you get started sewing and making things.

Absolutely! As long as you post pictures of it here (along with an explanation of how you made it) then it'll count in the contest. :D

Luck of the Irish pin

Well for this pin I sewed 3 buttons and a small piece of ribbon to a piece of felt to make a clover. I then cut it out and sewed a safety pin to the back. I just used things around the house!

A Touch of Green Headband

3 Attachment(s)
This is to match the pin I made. I bought a cloth covered headband at the dollar tree (it was actually a 3 pack) and I sewed 3 green buttons to it and then used green puff paint to make the stem. I guess you would be able to glue the buttons on as well if you wish.
