Hello PaintGuy and welcome! Very nice. What kind of paint did you use?
I use mostly Liquitex Basics and sometimes the others pictured below followed by some glitter then I top it all off with a couple coats of minwax polycrylic gloss.(I have satin in photo below right but it comes in gloss also.)
I think just about any acrylic paint will work.
Perhaps there's better paint available, but I've never tried anything else.
Thanks to everyone for your interest and your comments.

They like them. Jacob has some I bought for him a few years ago. But that lady went out of business, so I tried my hand at making my own. I think I'm going to make more for each holiday. The Christmas ones were just made from some little scraps I had sitting here.
Here is my entry... I was going to make another one of these for the youngest as ymy entry, but have been crazy busy making banners for use as the backdrop of my brother's wedding, and I haven't been able to make it up yet, but since you said we can enter things un-posted we've made in the past here ya go...
We homeschool, so I made these crayon rolls for the kids to take on our nature walks- keeps their crayons close at hand so they can draw and color what they see as we go about on our "adventures" as we call them. I made an elastic wrap around instead of ties like most of the tutorials I found, to make it easier for them to "close them up".
I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar!!!!!!!!!! I hope he didn't eat holes in the crayons!
There are so many fantastic entries, I'll bet the admins are glad that it is a random draw and that they don't have to choose!
