That's hilarious! Perfect title too!

We went to see the Tea Party Express here in town yesterday and the camera man who was in front of the crowd should have been wearing a belt to hold his pants up. A couple of the older ladies near us yelled, "pull your pants up!" Another lady(?) said she was going to put something down there. I had to laugh, but I was thinking, "quit looking at him if you don't like it!".

A woman I used to work with said she was at a basketball game with her little grand daughter and they were sitting in the bleachers. The man in front of her had a crack problem. She said she looked at her grand daughter eating her lollipop and staring at that man with a funny look on her face. Then her grand daughter (maybe around 3 years old?) reached out with the
sucker and was going to stick it down the back of his pants. She stopped her, but imagine if she hadn't. LOL.

But, think of it more as a learning experience Fem. Not all of life is pretty and perfect. I find myself finding art in the weirdest places. Kinda like this piece. This is was taken years ago of the backside of my husband's swim trunks. He just got out of the water. My daughter had the camera and I pointed at his trunks and said, "Take a pic of your dad." She laughed and did.

Out of all the beautiful river scenes, water, and landscapes....I ended up taking this one as my colored pencil project. Lots of folds and not very flattering, but I liked the humor in the piece too! It's called Hindsight.
I too have found art in very interesting places that few would think of, and when it's amusing it's all the better

Barb still has me grinning. Children are the funniest.

Fem, once my HS art teacher did a colored pencil drawing of scrapped cars. You know all smashed in a salvage yard? Stacked on top of each other? Anyway, I loved that piece! Can you imagine all the colors? And chrome? Smashed/crushed? It was really cool! Stuff like that is pretty neat, isn't it?

don't know how I missed barb's post, funniest thing ever

that piece sounds really cool, though I'm not the best with realism

It was almost abstract look at realism actually. I guess that's why I thought it so cool. I'm not good at abstract....at least not in my artwork. But, I love some abstracts.

Which brings me to your work. I love the fantasy whimsey look of yours. Do you draw/paint your dolls? Are they your inspiration? Kinda looks like them.

That is so funny! My daughter takes her belt off when she gets home. I am so thankful she wears it out in public! She likes those low rise jeans and they always flash some crack when she bends down or sits with no belt to hold the pants in place. I am always sticking pens and pencils down there!

Tracy, I like your picture and the story behind it, and the title!

I look forward to seeing more of your work femerithian!

Thanks Angela. HA! Looks like your daughter would learn to wear a belt around her mama!

When those baggy pants came out for boys back in the '90's my husband told my son he better not waste his money buying those pants because he wouldn't be wearing them in his house! So, he didn't waste his money. He is so like his daddy now, I even wonder if he would have. He keeps his hair short and sports no piercing or tatts. He never went through those fashion fads. Neither did my daughter. I guess we are pretty boring!

The ones in my art gallery that look like my doll are my doll, not the others though... they're just off the top of my head...

and I've never been one to follow any fad that I didn't actually like... like for one I refuse to wear the hip huggers, for three reasons one I don't like having "plumber butt", for two I'm not near as skinny as I'd like to be, and finally without being as skinny as I'd like to be if I started to where my pants that low it'd never tone up and just hang down like putty on the edge of a table.

Come to think of it, it has been a while since I've done that.... Maybe she has learned.

You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. My daughter is one of those lucky ones who is quite slender. (Believe me, it is NOT from lack of eating... I have no idea where she puts it all!!!) I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair. I could not pull that look off!

I am hoping that by "gallery" you mean a craftforum photo album. I am going to look right after I finish posting.
