The tail scale method is so cool. I have done a little with the colored pencils, but you are way beyond me. They are wonderful to take on a cruise to play with on days at sea.

Thank you
though their not colored pencils... their water color pencils (way easier to blend for sure) and well worth playing around with... in fact I heard that most of the old Disney backgrounds were done in water color... probably even some of the new ones... and Miyazaki (the japanese version of Walt) used water color in his most recent movie Ponyo (very adorable movie)

I'd not have even thought about doing it had my friend not talked about what she was doing in her water class so much... though I don't remember all see said I did remember her talking about using a wax pencil or something similar to stop the color from bleeding into areas where it wasn't wanted... or something like that.

I'm hoping to learn more as far as using water color pencils go, because I see so many people on there using them so well and I want my work to look as professional and well done as theirs, though of course in my own sort of style still

not so much... idk if I will either... she's one of my spur of the moment creations... sometimes they take on a life of their own and become one of my characters, some times they don't

That's an interesting mix of color techniques. Good job.
