Default which paint to choose

Hi men and ladies of this forum!
I want to get here a quick help.

We have made a wooden installation of jack o lantern for the Halloween.

It is quite big.
Now we need t paint it in orange color. We will do it with our kids, so the paint should be fast-dry and with minimal smell.

Which type and brand of paint can you advice?

thanks!

thanks.

I found this acrylic base https://www.mrosupply.com/paint-pain...072501_krylon/

My local store also has this type of paint.

It is white, but I'm thinking of adding the orange colourant. Or is it too complicated?

You don't really need anything that fancy. You can go to WalMart and get their basic acrylic paint (in the craft section). It comes in lots of colors and works fine on wood. If you want to "seal" it, then you can use a clear acrylic spray. That's what I do. I like the Krylon clear acrylic spray - WalMart carries that also. What is nice about using the acrylic craft paint is that the kids can use their fingers if they want - it washes off just fine.

Acrylic paint dries very fast as compared to other mediums and it is easily available on online art supply stores and local market stores.

You should go with acrylic paint. That is the best option.

Default Color changing paints?

I recently came across this website that has color changing pigments

http://thermochromicworld.com/

Has anyone used these? Do they work well? Thinking about trying them out.
