Default How To Make a Sock Monkey

This is my official, unofficial March submission.

I say unofficial because I can't follow the proper submission guidelines, making me ineligible for the submission contest part. However! Since nobody has made a submission at all and there are several members who have said that they wish to make one I am officially suggesting that making a sock monkey be a craft of the month idea.

I'm posting two links that I found for two variations of sock monkeys. I hope that links are allowed. I am not taking credit, in any way, for these instructions, but since they are posted on the internet, anybody can find them and use them...

The first link is for the Original Rockford Red Heel sock monkey:
http://tipnut.com/projectfiles/redsockmonkeypattern.pdf

and the second is for a slightly updated version:
http://www.sockmonkey.net/How_To_Mak...ck_Monkey.html

( If this submission is not allowed, go ahead and delete it Nathan.)

Ah-ha! and now I know that the booklet I got was originally from 1958. That explains a lot....
I couldn't find any copyright information in the book, or at least, not any dates.

I wouldn't have been able to tell you, so it is a good thing that you found it yourself!

Since I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, I had nothing else to do.

Oh my goodness. I didn't even notice the timestamp! No wonder you couldn't sleep, you were on the computer!

Once she found out how uncomfortable the keyboard is as a pillow, she doesn't sleep in front of the computer anymore. =o)

HA!

This happens to me usually at the end of a school year. It won't happen again until August.
