Those are neat Elaine. I think kids would have fun doing these too.

the best paper to use is old magazines. little kids might have a hard time rolling. they might have to use a pencil it's alittle bigger but yeah recycling is ALWAYS good.... Elaine

I just started making these, only I used scraps of scrapbook papers. They are fun and addicting to make.

I love making these! I started using old magazines, but now use bits of scrap booking paper . They are really sturdy beads once they set and very easy to make. I have also seen some venders on Etsy make beads using old music sheets and they look amazing!

Oh, thank you. I have some old music sheets that I was going to cut up for something. Now I know what to use them for.

Do you all have any problems with glueing magazine pages? I would think the glossy pages would be hard to glue.

"I would think the glossy pages would be hard to glue."

I definitely had issue with it, but I wasn't sure if maybe I just wasn't doing it right. My glossy magazines would end up getting stuck to my fingers or work area and the color would smear or come off all together so I switched to scrapbook paper.

I like the results that I'm getting from scrapbook paper. I think the music sheets will be ok, too. I also want to try wallpaper, but I'm afraid the issues would be the same as the glossy paper.
