You can participate without yarn. I have no intention of making anything with yarn either. If I can't knit with cotton cord, I probably will abandon the knitting idea and move onto something else.

Here is the link to my first post in this challenge:
1st BC post - ceramic ornaments

Hope it counts.....

Angela - sorry to make you feel bad.... you are definitely not a "suck"
If I had someone who would make dishcloths for me, I most certainly would not want to jeopordize that. They are very expensive for those of us who need to buy them. I look forward to seeing what you figure out to post for those boards though. I am sure it will be something amazing.

No worries! You didn't make me feel bad GammyKatie. I just wanted to be sure I was following the guidelines without knitting or crocheting.

I'm making a sock monkey (surprise!!!!) for a friend as soon as I get my butt off the computer. Not sure if i'll count it as my sewing entry or not. I'm not even sure it will turn out! She wants a fuschia one so I found some fuschia socks, but they are those chennille (however that is spelled) socks so I don't even know if I can work with them. They are awfully stretchy... I'll post either way.
I also have to make invitations for my daughter's birthday party and little cosmetic bags to put the loot in. Maybe. I'll decide for sure after I make one. If they are complicated or frustrating, I'm not making ten!
Maybe I should update my February list.....

I'm laughing at Angela. Give her a break, she has enough to do with her Turtle photo thing for a year!

Sorry I'm so late everyone! Keeo, this sounds great! I'll see what I can do. I think I might could get by with making a knited hotpad. It's been years since I've knited!

So, are we trying to do one in each forum and we get a year to do it? Well, I'm behind by two months. I could get my daughter to send me a pic of the pocketbook I made her for January. And I started a quilt for my bed, but that would be the same forum. Ummm.........which leaves me all the others and I'm behind!

Hey, just found out that quilting has a sub forum. So, I can post pics of my quilt! Which will take a year to finish probably! So, it will be one of those "in progress" threads. Actually, all of these forums might be "in progress" except for the cooking one. Hopefully I finish posting a meal!

Hey, Tracy! Where you been?

You have until August 15 for all eight art and craft forums. At this moment that's less than six months, but you can do it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks Tracy, but I finished the 365 turtle project about a month ago!

I just finished a t-shirt that I am posting under 'painting'. I think it counts...

Cool Angela. Oh, I thought you started another Turtle one.

My daughter is going to send me a pic of the purse I made her.

OH! And I'll have a repurposed sweater! Then the quilt.

Keeo, I've been pretty busy lately. Not much time in the evenings. But, now that I'm at another slow spell (from work) I might get to spend more time here. Or atleast stop by.

HI! I am just seeing this... trying to figure out what I'll do, since I have done just about everything on the list (or attempted at one time or another).

I have sewn, quilted, crocheted, painted with water colors and acrylics, built furniture, made wooden blocks and toys, embroidered, cross-stitched, done needle point, sculpted with polymer clay, air dry clay, and pottery clay (but not for a long time), baked, and created jewelry... I think I love to create!

Like Angela I have attempted to knit- and found the needles confusing (even with a friend's help, youtube videos and lots of different tutorials)... BUT I own a complete set of round knifty knitters, and the long ones they make, plus have made my own looms out of nails and paper tubes for the kids ... and that is as close to knitting as I will come!

So really the only thing I haven't done is scrapping... UGH. Guess I could try and make small book for my mother in law...

I guess what I will do is diversify and go back to some things I haven't done in a long time...

So here is my plan:

Woodworking- I have boards to prep to re-do a bench with metal sides that needs new slats
Jewelry- making items for my daughter's birthday party at the end of the month
Embroidery- Plan to do some more felt/embroidery work
Sewing- What ever I make next?
Baking- Abby's birthday cake- She wants a likeness of herself and her favorite doll (think this kind of counts under the art/drawing category?)
Painting- might steal Angela's idea and do some stencil shirts, but I did just buy a new pad of water color paper so maybe you'll see something from that (I am not very good but I have fun)
Quilting- have a quilt planned for the inlaws
Pottery/Ceramics- does Sculpy clay count?- if so I have some ideas, if not, will have to find some air drying clay or visit the paint your own pottery place, as I don't have access to a kiln.
Scrapping- some pages for my inlaws

Ok now I feel "committed" Looking forward to familiarizing myself with tools I haven't used in a while.

Well, I just posted my first two attempts at this challenge. Hopefully, I'll be able to do some more (I just need to figure out what to do).

I'll post the finished projects here - I did "in progress" pics with the threads in the (hopefully) proper categories.

So, recycled crafts. I might be stretching it a bit, but I "recycled" grass into a grass mat.

And paper craft - I made an "old scroll".
