Default Cricut Love

I just got my cricut 2 weeks ago - I love it. I finally made a Navy scrap book for my Hubby - I had purchased the supplies 6 months ago and I finished it in two nights.

I also bought the Make the Cut software. You can design anything you want and cut it with the Cricut. With this software you don't need to buy new cartridges.

I also ordered some vinyl from PrintOnIt - they had great prices can't wait to see what the quality is.

My mom has one for scrap booking. I use it for glass fusing... I have used it to print shapes as a guide for cutting my molds and I plan to use it for etching when I get some etching cream.

Default Make the cut Love IT

What do you thinks about the Make the Cut? I am finally getting the hang of it . I made my first card on it this weekend.

Did you check out all the free projects that other users already designed? I used one this morning for a valentine wreath I am making.

I used it all day Monday, while I was off work and home alone! Have you checked out the forums at Make the Cut? All kinds of info on free .svg files and how to convert other files to .svg files to cut with cricut and mtc!

What is the difference between the Make it Cut software & the Sure Cuts A Lot software? Just two different pieces of software that works with the cricut canceling out the need for cartridges? Or are they the same thing?

I have never paid more than $30 for a cartridge. I get them from places like www.ohmycrafts.com, ebay, and other online retail stores that have great prices. I am a member at the cricut forums and they gals over there are always posting the bargain place.

I have the cricut expression, the gypsy, SCAL and DS.
I'm on the fence about SCAL. Doesn't it void the cricut's warranty? Is it worth it? How free is it with designing? You're able to use it along side CDS & the gypsy w/o any problem?

Another Cricut lover here i bought my expression in August of 2007 from c*st*mcr*ps.com and they shipped it to the UK for me... since then i've bought a few carts from the same place and also eBay... I have a list of carts on my blog too, I also have a BigShot for sizzix and cuttlebug dies and embossing folders but mostly use my expression for cutting out shapes, fonts and just about anything that is on my cartridges... I've also invested in the DS and this has made using my cricut even easier because you can see where it will cut on the mat from where you place images on the screen IYKWIM
