Default Cricut Machine

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing a cricut machine for someone as a gift. I really don't feel I am finding the answers I need else where, so I am hoping all of you can help me!

The person that I am purchasing this for makes their own stencils and uses them to apply graphics on to skateboards, T-shirts, canvas and such mostly with spray paint. The task is often a long process because they use an exacto knife to cut out the images and in order to get the effect they are looking for it is a lot of small pieces to cut out by hand.

So I know there are many options out there but I just want to make sure I am getting the best one. I am willing to spend around $300 for the machine, but want to make sure that it has the ability to do what she will use it for.
