Default Glass etching with the Cricut

For those of you that have the cricut, I finally got a chance to try glass etching. It was somewhat difficult, but I think as I do it more, it will get easier. Plus I picked a hard shape for a first try since it was a small toasting flute. If you want to take a look, here's the link to my blog. If you have any questions on how I did it, just leave a comment on my blog and I'll respond

Thumbs up Very cute!

I love those! They're beautiful!!

I've been thinking about trying this. I have a friend getting married in a couple weeks and would like to do something special, but don't know where to start. She isn't having a shower or anything like that, she's very low key and non-crafty. So I don't know if it's something she'd like or not. But if it's difficult then maybe I won't. But I'm definitely wanting to try it soon!

Just posted a new glass etched project. It's another wedding related item. Personalize vase with their new last name and wedding date. Check it out if you are interested. Also feel free to become a follower on my blog

Teetle, I really like those . I'm sometimes wary of these different ways of making glass crafts more user friendly, they usually end up looking really rough around the edges and *blah*, but whatever kit and technique you used is really, really cool!!!
What exactly it that your used? I recognize the name but I always thought it was a scrap booking brand....

yup... she used the scrapbooking machine. My guess is that she used the negative image from the machine as a sencil for the etching cream

Yep, I used the negative image of the vinyl that I cut with the cricut. I used vinyl and then used "Armour Etch". I will say, my first project was rough around the edges. The key is to get all the bubbles out of the vinyl and make sure there's no parts not properly sealed. If you have any other questions about it, let me know.

And if you like what you see, please feel free to follow my blog. When you comment on one of the projects, I get a notification, so it's much easier for me to respond to answer any questions since I forget to check this forum a lot.

I'll be posting a fabric project soon too! Just tried it yesterday. I want the person it's for to get the item first, so look for it next week.
