Talking I saw a picture of a rose.

After cutting out petal pieces, how would I put it together?

Could it be that they didn't cut each shape out into individual pieces? Maybe it's one long strand with the petals starting out large at one end and gradually becoming smaller until it reaches the other end?

and it also looks like some of them aren't cut from a book/paper but maybe sculpted?

Default paper flower

I used to make crepe paper roses, many years ago, and really they could be made out of any kinds of paper, they were individual petals, some shaped, by curling over the back of scissor blades, the inner petals kept tight. I just layered the petals and they were help by craft wire, and then covered with stem tape, they were gorgeous. With book paper you could use the assistance of some glue, but will need some wire to create a stem. Some time ago, Martha Stewart had on her website roses made out of coffee filters, then painted with water colors, same concept. I could probably find you the pattern. Hope this helps.

That is awesome! Thanks for your help I don't know when I'm going to try to attempt to do this, but I most definitely want to do so.

If you do find the pattern link, it would be great for you to share.
