Michaels is good when they have sales and you can use coupons there and Joann's for good deals.

Some of my favorite places are:
Michaels
Joanns
AC Moore
Hobby Lobby
Dollar Tree
Big Lots
www.ohmycrafts.com
www.adornitscrapbook.com
www.eyeletoutlet.com
www.ebay.com
www.overstock.com
www.hsn.com (clearance)

I also have joined several forums that have swaps and stuff which helps grow supplies. Also craigslist.

The thing I love about scrapbooking is you can always get things on sale and while the start up cost can be expensive the overall upkeep of the supplies can be at your descretion.

Default Favorite places....

I used to shop online a lot but the shipping has become so expensive...it costs more than the order sometimes! I have joined several sites that have swaps, or trades, online prizes, and just general selling. It can be fun. I also watch my local Goodwill stores, they have great deals! The Fiskars warehouse is also nearby so that is when i stock up!!!

You're right about the shipping costs. It's not a big deal if you're getting a couple things. But when you find a great deal on something for a few bucks but the shipping is $10, it makes you stop and think.

There was a good scrapbooking show here this weekend. One booth had full sheets of alphabet stickers 3 for $1 and 12" x 12" paper 4 for $1. I found 8.5" x 11" cardstock 10 for $1. Hermafix tab dispensers with 1,000 tabs were $4. But there was a limit of 4. Those are normally about $13. That same booth had packages of alphabet stickers for 50¢.

The problem with this city is that the attendance at scrapbook/rubber stamp shows is not very high, so the companies that host them don't come back more than a couple times. Oh well, it's fun while it lasts!

This is awesome. I just spent 2 hours looking through all the sites and learned so much. I was surprised at the variety of prices on the same items. Amazing. I also got a lot of new and fresh ideas...I'm a newbie to cardmaking so it doesn't take a lot to impress me. It's always nice to have a place where the pros are helpful....makes learning a real pleasure. Thanks for the information.

If anyone from here lives in Utah I would Suggest going to the Making Memories Warehouse Sales, They have them 2 times a year... And they mark everything down up to 80% I love going there! Also in UT ksl.com has a Classifieds section and you can find some very cheap bargains there

It depends on the quality you want. I used to find some paper at the dollar store, but it was real flimsy. You can get some good bargains online at scrapbook sites that have clearance areas. I have a clearance rack at my online store. http://www.stampingwithalicia.stampinup.net, click on "shop now" in the top right, then choose clearance rack in the left menu bar.

Happy bargain hunting!

Karina, you're so lucky to be able to go to their warehouse sales. I'd be in my glory if I could go to them. The scrapbooking show in Sandy, UT had incredible deals the few times I was able to go. Now my nephew and his wife, who we stayed with in Boise and went to the show with, have moved to Phoenix, so it doesn't look like we'll be going to Utah any time soon.

A few years back, my sister and I were supposed to go to the show in Sandy and for whatever reason, we didn't. My niece did go though and was calling us throughout the day to tell us about bargains and to ask if we wanted her to pick-up a few things. Since I couldn't go there, I went to Hobby Lobby near my house. While I was in the paper aisle, a girl asked me a question and we started talking. Come to find out, she was from Salt Lake City. I just thought it was funny that I had been thinking about Utah and ran into someone from there who's here in Michigan.

I got a few bargains yesterday at the Mega Meet scrapbooking show near Detroit.

I went to a yard sale at a charter school in my town today. The first booth I went to had some pretty good deals on scrapbooking stuff. The woman selling all of it said she had a lot more earlier in the day .

Oh well. There was still a lot to choose from.

Here's what I got for $18.

The two pink punches would (I'm guessing) be about $13 or $14 each and the Mickey Mouse punch about $10 to $12 at a store.

The two packages on the right are little copper plates.

The larger set of rubber stamps had a $12.99 store price tag on it.

A couple booths down the row, a lady was selling her Creative Memories alphabet stickers dirt cheap. Alphabet stickers are always useful.
