Default Where to start?

Now that I have kids I really want to start scrapbooking to keep our memories organized. I'm not the most crafty person but I know I have to start somewhere. Can anyone give me some tips on where to start?

For example, what supplies should I start with?

Hi Suz,
Scrapbooking is my hobby. I would start with the basics, cardstock, patterned paper adhesive, and unless your really crafty with scissors, some letter stickers or chipboard letters. There are so many products available for scrapbooking. I would suggest that you start with those basics first, then branch out into all the embelishments. You will find your style in no time. Be careful tho scrapbooking can become an expensive obsession, LOL.

Those are good suggestions Angie. A few more things you might want to pick up are a 12" Fiskars cutter, a self-healing mat, an exact-o knife and some Zig and Micron markers and ink pens. They have pigment ink in them and are archival.

Yes glue dots are a must have, I love them and use them often.

DM, I can't wait to see your magic boxes, I'll have to wait until I get home tho.
I'm at work now and I can't access the links.

I love the double-sided, acid-free adhesive squares....so much quicker to use and way less messy I always write in a notebook little things I want to remember and then go back to it when I get the chance.
