I love to when I get the time! (With 2 littles, its hard..) I just made a dress for my dd last week though and I love it Here it is.. sorry for the low quality cell phone pic! http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._2585680_n.jpg
This was CHEAP to make. The fabric was $2.99 a yard on sale. I bought a yard of each fabric which of course, was way too much for the black one but oh well. The pattern is a simplicity pattern which I only buy when they go on sale for .99 each. Not sure how much the zipper was.. couple bucks? So overall, the dress cost under $10. Plus 2 naps, haha. Not too shabby!

Yep, I sew everyone clothes, dh, the kids, the dogs, myself, note where I fall on that list, lol. My favorites are Ottobre and Jalie, I seem to have the least amount of fitting problems with them. I also love Lila Tueller!

I do! I use a lot of basic patterns from youcanmakethis.com and embellish or restrucure them to what I want. I also love pink fig patterns and farbenmix.

I've been sewing since before I remember The first real outfit I remember making was a burgundy corduroy shirt and vest with a pink/burgundy floral blouse (it was the 70's), I think I was about 8?
Chey, you make some wonderful stuff! (and the models are adorable too)

I make clothes for DD a lot. Latest projects have been pillowcase dresses, I found a free pattern from a blog online. I also use clothes that she has to make patterns from, changing them as I need to for her. I just got a serger a few months ago and I LOVE it!

You know, I've never used a pattern for anything before. I've always just created things through trial and error. I think it's easier figuring out my own "pattern" in my head than it is following one.

Oh good! My Fishsticks raglan is coming in the mail any day now Now I'm really excited!
I make clothes for me and some for the boys. I'm sewing cloth trainers right now and some work clothes for me.
I buy fabric on when it's on the clearance rack at Joann's at 50% off the clearance price and buy my patterns when they go on sale for 99cents. I have about 4 plastic sterolite bins full of fabric.

Oh me! I LOVE the Fishsticks ragalan too! I've made DS a whole bunch of them. I also like to knit him sweaters (hey it counts-I have to sew it together lol). I want to make more of his clothes but he grows too fast!

I'm just starting to sew clothes for my kiddos. Up until recently, I've mostly used store-bought patterns (Simplicity, McCalls, Butterick, etc). But, I have had a hard time with fit on my son - he's tall and thin for his age, so he need 3T width with 5T length. I found it easier to just draft my own patterns for him directly from his measurements. I wouldn't have been able to do that to start off though - it was good to start off with store-bought patterns so that I could see how things fit together. Now I know, say, how to sew a generic shirt, so it's easier to draft my own patterns.

I only sew for myself now, my kids are all grown. I used to make all their clothes, and they loved it. I use store bought patterns or free patterns I find online.
