Default Embroidery needles?

Hi Ladies,

I'm not new to sewing but I am new to embroidery. My wonderful DH got me the Babylock Ellageo for Christmas. I need to purchase some needles but I'm not sure which ones.

I plan on embroidering, PUL, Knits, FLeece, Denim, and Minky.

Any suggestions? Thanks

God Bless,
Loving, Learning and Leaning on Christ!

Hey Laura! So nice to see you drop by!

I'm not really sure, but if I was you, I would get a multi kit for just embroidery. I also purchased a book called Encyclopedia of Needlework by Donna Kooler. It gives a good bit of information regarding different styles and techniques of needlework.

Hopefully someone that does this a good bit will stop by and give you more ideas and clues to what needles to use.

Good luck! Can't wait to see your work!

Hi Laura, well there seems to be a lot of questions regarding embroidery needles.

I have just finished passing on my very limited knowledge on them on another post in the sewing and needlework category. So if you still have unanswered questions, I kindly invite you to have a look, because I am an little lazy today

And as Downrightart said, I also believe (depending on what you want to embroid, pearls etc...., you should consider a multi pack, so you have a larger choice. They did great for me and are much cheaper!

Happy embroidering, lol
Inspire me and I'll inspire you!
